Simple Treat Bags

Everything I used:
-lollipop bags with string closure (Michael's)
-Halloween shred (Michael's)
-top note shape cut at 3 1/2 on my Cricut (Storybook Cartridge)
-Candy
-Totally Witchin stamps (Crafty Sprouts)
-Halloween Paper from Spooktacular stack (K &Company)
-hole punch

I love, love, love these stamps. you can go here and check out all the cute stamps she has. www.craftysprouts-shop.blogspot.com

So, easy peasy, I just filled the bags with a little shred, dropped in 5 pieces of candy, stamped the top not with my stamps, punched a hole at the top, threaded in the ribbon and tied in a bow. It is so funny how I can get so many compliments for a project that took no time at all. I love when people think I am talented. Well that is all for today. Have a safe weekend, and a wonderful Halloween.

Cricut Lite Cartridges for $20?!?!?

So one of the perks of going on a road trip is shopping all along the way. I stopped in at a Walmart in Oklahoma City and guess what I found??? Hoot n Holler Cricut Lite Cartridge for only $20.00. In fact all the Cricut Lites were marked down to $20. Since I was on vacation, I only picked up the one, but when we stopped in Texas, I popped in and picked up Live Simply which was also only $20.00. I figured that once I got home, I would go to my local walmart and pick up the others, since I assumed Walmart must have clearanced them all out, but what do you know? My Walmart still has them at full price $39.00 with just a handful marked down to $29.00. So lesson, learned, I should have just loaded up. So if you are in Texas or OKC, go take advantage.

Tuesday Morning Goodies!!

Tuesday Morning Haul
I found the score of a lifetime at my local Tuesday Morning. These kits from “The Girls’ Paperie” have over 1,000 pieces and were only $19.99. The first one is called “Toil & Trouble” and is a Halloween kit. It has 2600 pieces of paper, rubber stamps, stickers, embellishments, and glittered charms. The second kit is called “Paper Girl” and has 1200 pieces of paper, buttons, chipboard alphabets, stickers, flowers, and glittered charms. They also had a Christmas theme at my local store, but I am not a big Christmas fan. Halloween is my favorite Holiday; so of course, I had to get Toil and Trouble. Hopefully if you check your local Tuesday Morning they will have available still. Until next time my blogging friends!

We can do it ladies!

Have you seen this yet? I know we can all do our part to improve the lives of these ladies. I am asking each of you to look over your stash and find some things you love, and then part with it. I know, I know, it's hard to get rid of things you like...but it is for a good cause. My suggestion is that you stop by your post office, pick up a free flat rate box, and just fill it with goodies. This way, you know how much it will be to ship. Hopefully with our help, these women and families will be able to get back to normal. Thanks girls!

Colorbok Warehouse Sale Haul

I love a good Sale:

Lucky lucky me, I made it to the Colorbok Warehouse sale in Racncho Cucamonga, CA. They were the nicest people in the world in there. They had tons of paper, Build-a-bear boxed sets, jewelry making kits, paint-able ceramics, and of course scrapbook paper, sticker, kits, and albums. Here are my pictures of my haul. All of this came out to $40.50. They said they are going to have another on in November, and I can hardly wait.

I confess, I ordered!

I confess, I ordered! I know there is a lot of chatter going around regarding the hype of yet another Cricut machine, but my purchase is justifiable. First of all, I only have the small machine, the personal cutter, not even the Create. I love my machine, but I realize that I am missing a whole lot of options. I never bought an Expression or an Imagine. I still want an Imagine, but I am waiting for 3 things; 1. lower the price 2. fix the problems, and 3. make it a little smaller. So as for me, right now I am anxiously awaiting May 5th, this is the day my machine will arrive. Anyone else out there upgrading from the small machine?

April Showers bring May flowers

Whimsical Wednesday's challenge is to design a project with the title "April Shower's bring May flowers" in mind. The projects had to include at least one of the following elements; Umbrella, Rain Boots, Flowers, or Rain Drops. I have all of the requirements, but my raindrops are kind of invisible in this picture. Oh well, here is my entry anyway:
This layout is from our 1st trip to Disney World. It rained every single day, but it never lasted long, and it did not slow us down. Head on over to Whimsical Wednesdays to join this challenge.

I heart the 90's challenge

Scrap it with a song has a new challenge this week. It is called I heart the 90's and you have to take your inspiration from one of two 90's songs. For this challenge, I chose "The Sign" by Ace of Base. I loved this song when it came out, and I found the perfect picture for my layout.

This picture was taken at a turning point in my life. I was 19, on the wrong path, and pretty lost. One day I just decided to cut out all the bad out of my life, and take a different path. As soon as I made that decision, everything turned around for me, and I have never looked back. I hope you enjoy my project.

SNACK MOM!!!!!!!!!!!

So Today is my sister's day to bring the snack for her son's team, but unfortunately she is leading a community clean up at the park, so she asked me if I could possibly bring the snack for the kids. Me being me, I had to do it up right. I know that they are a bunch of 6 and 7 year old's, who might not think much about the presentation, but at least I love how they turned out. Contents inside: Doritos, Oreo's, Tootsie pop, Krabby Patty, and a few pieces of bubble gum. Do you think the other parents are going to be mad at me?

Here is the breakdown:

2 sheets of Recollections baseball paper (.29 each at Michael's)
15 Martha Stewart Large goodie bags (Big lots-$1 pack of 12)
2 sheets 81/2 x 11 green recollections cardstock (in my stash)
2 sheets of Karen Foster Design Baseball Cardstock stickers ($1.99 per sheet at Michael's
Friskars Grass border punch (in my stash)

I cut the green cardstock in length wide strips at 1 1/2 inches and border punched them. I cut the Baseball cardtock at 4 1/2 x 3/1/2 strips, folded lengthwise, and just stuffed the bags with goodies. Very simple, and I love how they look.

Catching up on my scrapbooking

It is my new ambition to scrapbook all my photos from each holiday. This weekend I opened up my Halloween Scrap Supply tote and went to work. I really wanted the Making Memories Toil and Trouble 8x8 album, but didn't want to pay $15 for it from my local scrapbook store. Fortunately for me, I found it for $3 at the Scrapbook Expo. I really like the refillable 8x8 albums from Making Memories. I have decided to do every holiday in an 8x8. I am not a professional, I struggle with patterns, paper choices, and too much space to fill on a 12x12, so this is the perfect size for me. Yesterday I went to Tuesday Morning and found a pink MM album for only $4.99, so I am going to scrap last Easter this weekend. Well that is all for now. Hopefully I will have a haul this weekend, but we will see. I really need clothes, not more paper. So here, I will leave you with a picture of my Dingo. She likes to lay on my chair and soak up the sun. She also likes to lay at my feet and fight with me as I work on my albums. Once, when she jumped on my desk and just layed down on top of my project, I took my small scissors and groomed her. She was so cute. Looks like its time for another haircut. =)

All about Spring Challenge

Cardz TV challenge-

Ok, here is my sad attempt to enter a challenge. I have been under the weather, but today I am actually able to sit upright in a chair. Yay me! I kept it extremely simple. For this card I used the Wild Card cartridge, DCWV Flower Shower stack, and Inkadinkado stamp from the $1 bin at Joann's. I really want to win, so hopefully this entry is enough! Even if I don't win, Thank you Mary for the opportunity! Hope you like it, Love, Michelle

New Year, New Room

New Year, New Space: This year I am making a vow to get back to challenges, blog hops, and learning. The pictures on my header are so outdated. In a little over a year of scrap booking, I have accumulated so much stuff. It is just amazing how much joy and relaxation this hobby (obsession) has brought me. So here are some transition pictures. I am still in the middle of putting my room together so until then...this is what I am trying to dig myself out of! Whew, I'm tired already.
