I was just deleting pictures out o f my phone and I came across some oldie's, but still goodies; so I thought I would share:
I know, I know- I look ridiculous, but here we are: Me, Doreen, and Christina in our makeshift Mardi Gras gear. Even though the other teams had better gear, we blew our 99 cent store horns and scared the crap out of the host so we ended up winning!
My happy place! I am not in the picture because I was the photographer, but this is my favorite way to spend a Friday night. It's not so much the projects that get done, as it is the food, friends, and laughter. Having girlfriends is good for the soul.
Here is the only picture I have with my crafting idol, The Crafty Chica. I am such a fan of hers, so when my friend invited me to her workshop here in LA, I was beyond thrilled. My hair was so short, holy cow. Anyway, we worked on a day of the dead project and I actually made something really cool. This was definitely a wow moment for me.
Another workshop, but this time with the oh so shabby chic Melissa Frances. This was in Anaheim, and was an amazing opportunity that fell into place at the last minute. Melissa is a stage 4 breast cancer survivor and is a true inspiration.
I hope you liked my blog post today. Not a lot going on, so I thought I would bring you down my memory lane. Did you notice that I am always the tallest person in the pictures too? Being 5'7 makes me tower over everyone- all the time too. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed and thanks for stopping by.

New Project Idea!
I just picked up Authentique's "Strong" collection and I have a new project brewing in my mind. As soon as I saw this collection, instantly I knew I wanted to make an 8x8 album of my father-in-law for my husband. My father-in-law was a great man, and is truly missed everyday. He was always loving and welcoming and treated me like one of his own, and I am honored to be a member of his family. He and my husband were so close, and losing him was the toughest thing he has ever went through. What a way to honor those I love- by scrap-booking them. I am going to use this collection along with the embellishments, hemp twine, some burlap,
and black & white photos. It is going to be a masculine album, so I have to look for ideas on achieving a final project free of flowers. This will be a challenge for me, but I am excited to make this for my husband. I will post my finished results, but I am not starting until June. This is one of the projects that I am reserving for when I am stuck at home post-op and recovering for those 6-8 weeks.
Until next time my friends- Have a great week!

We are headed to the Scrappin' Shack!!!
I was recently invited up to the Scrappin' Shack for a weekend of crafty goodness. We will be there in June and I get to spend a whole weekend with Doreen, Leticia, and Rina in the mountains. Of course, this is as close to camping as I want to get but I am super excited to buy some of the new release camping collections that have come out recently. One of the nights we are there we have to prepare a dinner or a lunch for everyone...would it be tacky if I ordered Round Table? I am going for fun so I definitely won't be cooking, cleaning, or laundry. Anyway, I am working on making the girls some fun little goody bags for the trip and I am having so much fun deciding on what to put in them. Oh well, I know June is a long time from now, but I am sure it will be here before we know it. I can't wait to go up there, relax, go shopping, and just hang out with the girls.
Until next time my friends- Have a good week!

my new cuties!
I love daily deal sites and love to order mostly scrap booking supplies from places like Peachy Cheap, Scrap ace, Steals.com, and Zulily. Today was my lucky day. Look what I found on Zulily!!!!!!!!!! I love my Tom's and I have been in the market for some glitter ones. I found these babies for around $20 cheaper than I would find them at Nordstrom or Leroy's. Woo Hoo! No scrap supplies for me today, just super cute shoes. I just had to share because at home its just me and my husband, and he would just laugh and shakes his head. Men just don't understand these things. Anyway, if you have a chance, head over to Zulily before all the styles are sold out.

I heart organization!
So I stumbled into IKEA to pick up a small cube for my
Expedit obsession and I found the best little bin. This bin or drawer organizer was only $3.00
and it is a fabulous fit for all the small things that hang around my craft
desk. This is called “Antinious”, and as you can see in the picture, my label
maker, my favorite Jillibean Soup labels, some washi tape, and other small
things can now sit organized and quiet in their own space. After I got home I realized what a fabulous
fit this is was so immediately I went online to order more, but wouldn’t you
know it? Not available online. Damn!!!
Now I need to go back, but the closest one is an hour away. Fortunately I am going to be in the area on a
work trip, so I think I may be able to sneak back in. $3.00
each and now I think I need at least 6 more.
Two for my junk drawer in the kitchen, one for my Sentsy drawer, two for
my vanity drawer in my bathroom, one for my husbands bathroom drawer and I may
just pick up 2 more just in case. I told
you before, organization is my passion.
I have a sick obsession with totes, bins, and my label makers. I heart stores like Bed, Bath, & Beyond, The Container Store,
Organized Living, Ikea, even Big Lots. It’s
a sickness that can’t be helped. Oh
well, at least I don’t drink.
Until next time my friends, I hope you have a great
day.

Peaceful Saturday afternoon
Peaceful and relaxing Saturday with absolutely no plans at all. I know I need to clean the upstairs bathrooms, and I know I have a few loads of laundry up there waiting as well, but for right now...I am sitting here totally peaceful. This is my view from where I am online shopping in the dining room. I'm looking into sitting room by the front door, I can see the girl scouts outside (I just bought my husband his favorite peanut butter patties) and the neighbor kids on the sidewalk riding back and forth on their scooters. I can hear my husband in the family room watching a movie and today just feels like bliss. It's overcast outside, the downstairs is all clean and vacuumed, and my Scentsy is burning a fabulous scent in the family room that is covering all the rooms. I think I will enjoy this rare quiet time for a few more minutes and then take my happy self to the Redbox to get a movie for later.
Until next time my friends-

My funny Valentine
Hello Friends-
So everyone who knows me, knows that my two favorite holiday's are Halloween and 4th of July, but this year...I have the Valentine's Day spirit. Recently I picked up the Fourteen collection by Crate Paper and the True Love collection by Basic Grey. Combine these paper goodies with some $1 spot doilies from Target and some ribbon from my stash, and voila! I have Valentine's Day cards for this year. I am really enjoying all the Valentine's Day collections that have come out this year, and on Sunday I picked up Bella Blvd "Kiss Me", and Bo Bunny's "Love Letters". I am excited to get started and see what else my brain can come up with, but first I have to finish my school work. So overall, I think that I don't need anymore Valentine collections, but I just can't help myself. Too bad I have a full time job, or else I swear I would go get a big gulp of Diet Coke head into my craft room and stay there all day. The dishes can wait.
Until next time my friends, have a great week
